Castle Lager launches #OneHeartBeat

Castle Lager launches #OneHeartBeat

As our national rugby team prepares to claim a champion’s title in Japan, South Africa’s national beer, Castle Lager, also steps up to the plate to ensure our national heroes know, and perhaps even feel, our immense support every time they take to the field.

This year has been an interesting year for South African sports, with the Proteas, Bafana Bafana and the Springboks competing in major competitions and to celebrate, Castle Lager introduced supporters jerseys which, with a unique design, took the country by storm.

Let’s face it, Castle has indeed established itself as an iconic brand which has proudly unified the rainbow nation through its passion for sport. The beer brand’s continued support for the Springboks is expected to inspire South African hearts to beat as one, bringing people together in the true Mzansi spirit of oneness.

Celebrating 125 years of greatness, the beer brand took their mission a few steps further and recently launched not only an app but a smartband too!

The app motivates fans to sync their heartbeats using either the Castle Lager smartband, a smart device or a phone camera which then streams the nations heartbeat as the Springboks play in Japan. South Africans can also stay up-to-date with the fixtures and results of the Springboks on the app itself.

The app is free to download on Android and IOS, making it accessible to the passionate supporters of the Springboks, while the smartband is available for purchase on from Sunday, 1st September 2019.

As a true South African brand that has been at the forefront of South Africa’s most memorable sporting moments, Castle Lager aims to collect the ordinary heartbeats of passionate supporters through the app and have them beat as one as the Springboks look to conquer the world in the much anticipated tournament..

As the Boks take on the world, they do not stand alone, a nation stands with them.

“This is a big sporting year for South Africa and we as Castle Lager are proud to have been at the forefront of the success of the Springboks for over two decades now. Castle Lager has always been committed to bringing the beautiful people of South Africa together to rally behind the Springboks. We encourage all South Africans to stand with the Boks by downloading the Castle Lager app and connecting their hearts to beat for the Springboks,” said Castle Lager brand director Vaughan Croeser.
