As my title suggests, the Acer Spin 5 has put me in a bit of a spin. It’s a great machine, designed quite beautifully and offers all the latest in technology your little heart could desire.
Who doesn’t love a convertible???
At just 1.5kg, this slim laptop’s got looks, the flexibility and agility. The sleek all-metal design and delicately beveled edges ensure stylish effortless use, while Acer’s 360°, dual torque hinge provides four different modes for you to enjoy.
Audio
If you’re a stickler for great sound, the Acer Spin 5 offers great clarity because of its front-facing speakers. The sound quality, thanks to Acer’s TrueHarmony, Smart Amplification and Dolby Audio Premium is crisp and clear. However, the clever little thing here: the auto-reversible audio channels make sure the audio channel output automatically reverses when the display is flipped over, so you won’t miss a thing!
Optimised display features
With a 13.3” FHD IPS display and Acer Color Intelligence vibrant colors come alive. The 10-point touch feature lets you navigate menus with ease and interact with games for additional fun.
So handy!
You can also keep that creativity going with the authentic writing and sketching experience of the Acer Active Stylus – it’s hours of fun and so handy…
But what about performance
Play with an 8th Gen IntelCore i7 processor – apps load faster and allow multiple tasks to run simultaneously without any delay or lag. The battery on the Acer Spin 5 lasts up to 13
From a distance
If you’ve watched my video (click here for the link...), you’ll know that one of my favourite feature is the hands-free voice control from up to 4m away. You might think you don’t NEED it but Microsoft Cortana and Amazon Alexa say otherwise (Cortana is a convenient way to engage with your device for easy access to your favorite tools and applications. Alexa further enhances smart usability by letting you control your smart home devices via your laptop.)
As you do get used to moving around a bit more, you can’t remember how you lived without it before… Now the query did come up – how can you leave your laptop on all day but we did… the battery really works.
Price, you ask?
Expect to pay at R15 000…
