Dropping a DYME

Much like the technical favourites, Taxify to order a cab and UberEats to get dinner delivered, there’s now a local app available that let’s you hail a beauty service instead. The app is called DYME. Download it, sign into it and use it… You’ll love it. Who doesn’t want a bit of beauty on demand?
The app let’s you book an “artist”, as they’re known, to come to your place of residence or work to enjoy a bit of R&R.
Fancy a facial, some eyelash extensions, a wax or a massage – it’s all available at the click of a button without any time wasted. Access beauty and wellness professionals whenever and wherever – all that’s required is an account with DYME.
So, I thought I’d give this app a go, because a girl loves a bit of pampering, and I took an afternoon off for a massage. The booking process was so simple and you have options galore – any treatment you like, it’s yours. The user interface is neat and very professional looking. Clean and simple, just how you’d like your salon to be.
You pick a treatment, an address, a date and a time and if you’re having any trouble, there’s a chat feature that puts you in touch with your therapist once you’ve booked. Then you choose the cash or card option. And voila, you’re getting your treatment, as requested.
I had to be mindful of the fact that my budget wouldn’t allow for every single treatment to be tested in one go. Perhaps a bit of shopping restraint should be exercised here.
On the day of the treatment, I was sent an sms with my artist’s location and the time I could expect him. I was ready for him…
So Frank is about to arrive and it dawns on me that I’m letting a stranger into my home and perhaps I should’ve concerned myself with safety a little earlier… But my new friend DYME assures me I’ll be okay, with a quick scan of their security features – reassurance is taken very seriously here.
The massage was amazing and a chat with Frank afterwards revealed how easy it was for therapists to sign up too. He’s been incredibly happy working with DYME and even when I tried to nudge a bit of gossip out of him, he couldn’t say a single bad thing: all his experiences have been pretty outstanding and he loves that he in is control of what he can and can’t commit to.
I am ever so impressed with the service received and ecstatic that I’d booked this at home, as I could close my eyes for a little bit longer.
I’ve also got something special for you, so you can try it out for yourself: download the app and make use of the voucher code DYME150 – you’ll get R150 off your first booking BUT you can also enter the Unvarnished Pamper Party Competition and stand a chance to win a luxury pamper night experience. Find out more on the DYME Beauty App Instagram or their Facebook page.
