Android apps… but for kids

Let’s face it, every parent has allowed their child access to their smartphone – aren’t Android apps a great babysitter? Even though we maybe shouldn’t, sometimes it’s the only way to get some peace. Also, kids can be relentless… So don’t give yourself a hard time and have a little read:

Smartphones therefore could also be a wonderful way to extend your kids learning beyond the classroom and complement teacher-led instruction. Smartphones really do boast a number of advantages as learning tools: nearly everyone has one, they’re easy to use, and they’re a gateway to a world of educational apps and content…

What’s more though, smartphones have the ability to bring learning to life with interactive features, video and audio, as well as give children access to knowledge on a device they are comfortable and familiar with. The Kindle app puts over 1.5 million books at your fingertips, as well as a range of popular magazines and newspapers. Read print replica textbooks that provide features to help students study smarter including the ability to highlight passages, add margin notes, and search for keywords.
